Kelly Lister

M.A., Educational Consultant — Literacy, K-6

Kelly Lister is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE. Kelly holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Sonoma State University. Over her twenty years of experience in education, Kelly has been an upper grade elementary classroom teacher, an elementary and middle school principal, and a Student Support Coordinator. As an administrator, Kelly implemented formal systems in her schools to ensure student learning for each child. She saw the greatest positive impact on student learning when she and her team of educators were highly engaged with the implementation of evidence-based practices, continued to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their delivery of the approach over time, and eventually became experts in the new approach and the underpinning research.

Kelly currently coordinates her school’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support services, and she finds great joy in providing direct literacy and math interventions to struggling learners, collaborating with and coaching teachers and paraeducators, and leading data-analysis work. She utilizes the SIPPS curriculum throughout the day to support many levels of struggling readers.

Kelly lives with her family north of San Francisco in Sonoma County wine country, but her Happiest Place is Disneyland.
