National Language and Literacy Manager
As a National Language and Literacy Manager at CORE Learning, April designs and leads online cohorts grounded in adult learning principles and research-based instructional practices. She also represents CORE at conferences and serves as a subject matter expert in language and literacy education. April brings over a decade of experience in literacy instruction and leadership. She holds a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy, a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies, and an Associate’s in Elementary Education. Her certifications include Early Childhood Education, Special Education EC–12, and ESL EC–12. April has been named Campus Teacher of the Year, recognized as a Master Reading Teacher, and honored as an Unsung Hero by the U.S. House of Representatives. She believes that all students can thrive when given effective, strategic, and intentional instruction. This philosophy drives her work at CORE—supporting educators to improve instructional practices and help students succeed.
