Colette Haldi is an Educational Service Consultant with CORE. Colette is an experienced educator having taught grades TK-6. She has 44 years of experience in the general education classroom in addition to working as an ELA Consulting Teacher at the district level. In that position, Colette worked with K-8 teachers in understanding and implementing the CCSS for ELA. Later, Colette served as the district’s Differentiation Teacher, working with teachers to develop engaging lessons that challenged all learners.

Colette’s teaching experience began in rural Iowa. Then she taught abroad for six years (Libya, Kuwait, London, Switzerland) before settling in Northern California. Colette has presented on various topics at the site and district level, including novel studies, close reading, and student engagement. Colette also worked for the Governor’s Reading Institute for four summers, training teachers across the state. Colette has a passion for teaching and supporting children as well as making sure teachers have the resources they need to be successful in the classroom.
