Deb Dunn

Deb Dunn is an Educational Consultant with CORE. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Language and Literacy, is a licensed reading specialist, and has a dual M.Ed. in Elementary Education and Moderate Special Needs. Deb is a member of The Reading League and Massachusetts Reading Association.
Over her 33-year career, Deb has served as a special education teacher, elementary classroom teacher, outdoor educator for gifted students with dyslexia, reading specialist, Orton Gillingham tutor, and K-12 literacy coordinator. In addition, Deb spent 4 years as a literacy consultant for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, providing professional development in the science of reading, structured literacy, research-based effective instructional practices, and implementation coaching to preK-3rd grade teachers. She also helped schools design assessment protocols and utilize data to drive and fine-tune instruction.
Deb is committed to working with teachers to provide equity in literacy learning, and to improving literacy outcomes for diverse learners. She focuses on student success and working closely with parents to help them advocate for their children.
