Erica Hidalgo

Senior Implementation Manager

Erica Hidalgo is a Senior Implementation Manager with CORE Learning. She supports schools and districts with all aspects of planning and implementing CORE’s literacy services. She specializes in partnering with school and district leaders to develop sustainable systems and quality professional learning. Prior to working with CORE, Erica was a classroom teacher in Texas, Amazonas, Brazil, and New Mexico before serving as an elementary principal. Most recently Erica served as a curriculum director in both large urban and mid-sized rural school districts. Her responsibilities included oversight of federal funds, curriculum adoption and implementation, professional learning, and direction of the instructional coach and new teacher induction programs. In addition to her work at the school and district levels, Erica was appointed to the New Mexico Public Education Department K-5+ Extended Learning Time Advisory Board and served as a member of the NMPED’s Structured Literacy Working Group. Erica earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and teaching certification from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico. In her free time Erica delights in spending time with her family, is a novice woodworker, and enjoys world travel.
