Erick Herrmann

Erick Herrmann is a National Learning Partner with CORE. Bilingual from birth, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with Minors in Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Humboldt State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College. He holds teaching credentials in licenses in California and Oregon.

Erick has taught for over 25 years at the high school and elementary levels and as a Teacher on Special Assignment. He has a high degree of expertise in teaching literacy and meeting the educational needs of multilingual learners, integrating academic language, literacy, and writing instruction into the content areas and integrating social-emotional learning at all grade levels. Erick has authored over 100 articles on meeting the needs of multilingual learners and has a book published on integrating social-emotional learning in the classroom. Mr. Herrmann is deeply committed to high-quality instruction for all students and models effective, engaging instructional strategies that teachers can immediately use in their classrooms.

Erick and his family currently run a non-profit that brings youth in foster care to their ranch to work with their horses and other animals.
