Francine Swickheimer

Francine Swickheimer is an Educational Consultant with CORE. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Florida and both a master’s and doctorate degree in Reading and Literacy from Capella University. She is endorsed in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
Recognized as a Florida Regional Reading Teacher of the Year, Golden Apple Teacher Finalist, and Teacher of Distinction, Francine has dedicated 27 years to education. Her career includes roles as the managing director of academics for a charter system, a literacy director, a district academic coordinator, a school-based educational specialist, and a classroom teacher for kindergarten through 5th-grade students. While in the classroom, she primarily worked in Title I schools with diverse students, utilizing co-teaching models and ESOL support.
As a district academic coordinator, Francine contributed to the review and enhancement of gifted and talented services while also serving as the early elementary literacy coordinator. As an educational specialist, she developed Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), establishing a data review system and supports for all students, and worked closely with teachers, coaching them in best classroom practices. She brought this knowledge with her to Arkansas, where she established a Response to Intervention (RTI) system. She worked as both a literacy director and managing director of academics. Currently, Francine works as an Educational Consultant specializing in the science of reading. She develops and presents professional development training and provides coaching and consulting services to school districts nationwide.
