Kathy Kennedy

Kathy Kennedy is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE. She has extensive experience as an educational consultant, district and school administrator and teacher. Kathy spends most of her days traveling the nation training and coaching administrators, instructional coaches and teachers in literacy, leadership, and high probability instructional strategies. Prior to joining CORE, Kathy served as an Associate Superintendent, Executive Director, Principal and Teacher in North Carolina.
During her career, Kathy has focused on improving the teaching and learning process and advocating for all students to be able to achieve at their highest level. She believes it is our ethical obligation to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn in classrooms where excellent instruction oozes from the classroom door. She is committed to supporting districts and schools in their quest to provide high-quality and evidence-based instruction.
Kathy earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Wingate University in North Carolina; a master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke; and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Reading from Concord University in West Virginia.
