Lynni Nordheim
M.A., Educational Consultant — Literacy, K-5
Lynni Nordheim is an Educational Services Consultant for CORE. Supporting striving readers and students with characteristics of dyslexia has always been her passion as she believes it is our responsibility as educators to provide all kids with the basic human right of literacy. She is driven by the belief that if equipped with the right knowledge, skills, tools, and systems, all schools are highly capable of helping all readers thrive.
As a leader, Lynni is passionate about supporting teachers to implement evidence-based practices to dramatically improve literacy outcomes. She has worked in public education for 20 years and has served as an elementary school classroom teacher in major urban districts in Las Vegas, Boston, and Denver. She is a Wilson Certified Dyslexia Practitioner and spent several years as a school-based Reading Interventionist and Literacy Coach. In an effort to support system-wide literacy change, Lynni then transitioned to a central office role, in which she designed and facilitated district-wide professional learning and coaching around structured literacy. She currently serves as the District Dyslexia Specialist in a large school district in Colorado, where she works relentlessly to build district structures and professional learning opportunities to ensure all striving readers get the support they need, and all teachers are equipped with the knowledge and skill to provide it.
