Tequila Cornelious is an Educational Services Consultant for CORE. Tequila brings a breadth of professional experience to her role as a consultant. Along with her consulting experience, she has held positions as an instructional literacy coach at both the middle and elementary levels, elementary classroom teacher, K-5 reading interventionist, and community college reading instructor and literacy specialist. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the Literacy Leadership Ph.D program at Concordia University Chicago. Her research focus is the influence of coaching on the implementation of culturally responsive practices. When Tequila is not working, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling with her family.
