Treena Parker is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE in the area of English Language Arts K-12. She has experience teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades at the elementary level, ninth and tenth grade English at the high school level, and has provided professional learning for teachers K-12. Treena earned a master’s degree in curriculum, teaching, and learning along with an endorsement in mathematics from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Treena has served on various committees for the state of Nevada including work with the Smarter Balanced Consortium achievement level descriptors as well as writing rubrics and materials aligned with SBAC for grades K-2.

Treena believes ongoing, targeted, professional learning aligned with evidence-based practice is key to effectively serving all students as they develop the literacy skills necessary to thrive in the 21st Century.
